ROTARY FOUNDATION STREET COLLECTION
Last month the members of The Rotary Club of Donaghadee entered a team in the Lifeboat Centenary Raft Race. The team became known as The Oldest Rowers in Town. Last Saturday 4.9.10. the club fielded The Oldest Charity Muggers in Town as part of their annual street collection.
The collection was in aid of Rotary Foundation, Rotary’s own charity. Rotary Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
The club members would like to thank the people of Donaghadee for their generosity in donating the £698 that was collected on the day. |
