Mark Brooks - Membership Service reported that the success of The Rotary Club of Donaghadee was dependant upon the recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members. He assured the incoming President Mike Camlin that he would continue to ensure that the membership would increase.

Peter Irwin -  Hon Treasurer then reported on the clubs finances and proposed budget.

The following Honorary Members were re-elected: -  Past District Governor Edwin Dunlop, Norman Ferguson, Past District Secretary John Stevenson, Lady Silvia Hermon,.

President Paul then addressed the club, and thanked all the Committee Chairmen for their hard work over the past 12 months. He also thanked President-elect Mike, Secretary Dermot, Treasurer Peter and the other Officers of the club and council. He particularly thanked Rotarian Richard for his hard work in organising various events during the year. He then thanked the rest of the membership for their regular attendance and support during another busy year.

He said that unfortunately the Rotary year had been touched with sadness with the recent death of Founding President Jack McKeag, who embodied the qualities of fellowship and service for which the club has become well known. Past President Jack will be missed by everyone at the club.

He concluded by saying it had been his great privilege this year to serve as President of The Rotary Club Of Donaghadee, and he would strongly recommend that every member should consider being President at some time. Being President allows one to fully appreciate on a weekly basis the great fellowship and commitment within the club, and  is very grateful to have been given this opportunity.
