LYDIA WINS YOUTH LEADERSHIP COMPETITION

In November we reported that Lydia McMullan, had won The Rotary Club of Donaghadee’s heat of The Rotary Youth Leadership Competition. Lydia, a Senior Prefect and House Captain at Glenola College was described as a person with enthusiasm, passion and outstanding commitment.

We are now pleased to report that she was successful in the Regional final held at Carrickfergus.  

Lydia will now join 23 other students from across the Island of Ireland to participate in a week long Leadership Development Programme. This consists of 3 days in Belfast and Dublin before setting of for the European Parliament in Strasbourg, to play a part in the Euroscola Programme early next year. They will debate major EU issues in the European Parliament Building with 600 other students from most countries across the European Union. This will be a personal development experience not to be missed.
