Donaghadee Rotarians host annual Santa visit! The inclement weather did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of Donaghadee Rotarians as they turned out in force to assist Santa who arrived in time honoured tradition by Lifeboat at the harbour in Donaghadee. He was then escorted on a tour of the town led by a local band in similar attire having first released balloons to the delight of all the children and parents who also braved the elements. Santa then greeted children in "Seaside Ceramics" while the Rotarians put the finishing touches to the Grotto where he took up residence the following day. The Rotarians are grateful to Mrs Best for generously allowing Santa to stay overnight while arrangements were finalised. There are rumours that he was a bit grumpy but after such a long journey, that is only to be expected! He was in top form the following day (although seemed to doze off easily) but was supported by an eager band of elves and Robert! Santa will return to his Grotto on Saturday 20 December from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
